Itinerary

Your Egyptologist will pick you up from your hotel in Luxor to explore some of Upper Egypt’s most remarkable ancient sites.

Abydos Temple
Your first stop is Temple of Seti I in Abydos, about 135 km from Luxor and 420 km south of Cairo. Abydos was believed by the ancient Egyptians to be the burial place of Osiris, the god of the underworld.

• Built by Seti I and completed by Ramses II.
• Famous for beautifully preserved wall paintings of gods and pharaohs.
• Known as one of Egypt’s most spiritually significant temples.

Dendera Temple
Next, continue north to Temple of Hathor, dedicated to Hathor, the goddess of love and joy. This temple complex features:

• Stunning reliefs and carvings that depict ancient Egyptian rituals.
• A hypostyle hall with beautifully preserved astronomical ceilings.
• Insight into the religious and cultural life of ancient Egypt.

After visiting Dendera, you will be transferred back to your hotel in Luxor.
